Wildays day 3 - BMW breakdown
Today started with Cappuccino. As always :)
We met with Sven for a coffee and say bye to him as he left for the trip back home to Fürth.
Later we inspected the nine T of Uller causing problems since yesterday. When he drives in town the BMW says he is going with 200km/h and then directly stops saying anything. Today we found this correlates with right or left curves. After talking it into pieces we saw that a cable broke. And it was clear that, with the way this was done by BMW it had to break because it was always building a right angle when turning right. Now we had to fix it.
We went to the festival area to find solutions (connectors or soldering iron)
At the festival area I also grabbed the T-shirt I won for the best picture posted on Instagram for Wildays at day 2. So cool!
We asked our Romanian friends if they have something but they suggested to repair it the Romanian way (drill the two cable parts together and put tape around). Well, we decided to try and find a German solution if possible.
In the end Ben had some connectors and we could solve the issue before our neighbours left with the nut we needed for putting it all together again.
So we learned, even with a new bike: carry some stuff with you.
So today we have actually not been to any event at Wildays except of the aperitivo at the beach.
Meanwhile we also fixed a hotel in Arles which had a garage for the bus (no more risk of breaking it again) and which will be our next overnight stop.
In the evening we went to the great Trattoria of last year and enjoyed the three court meal.
Now the camping is dark again, no more stage and noise and we only hear the frogs and nightingales and only see the glow worms.
